How It Works

The course includes all necessary materials such as mannequin heads, parting combs, hair clips, and braiding products to ensure a fully hands-on experience.

Each trainee will receive a personal braiding kit and be awarded a certificate of completion at the end of the program, recognizing their hard work and newly acquired skills.

Our Session Options

Session schedules are flexible and can be customized based on how many days per week you'd like the program to run. We offer options ranging from 1 to 3 days a week, with each session lasting approximately 2 hours. A sample session breakdown is available below. For added flexibility, we also provide 1-day boot camp sessions—perfect as student incentives—as well as custom packages tailored for summer programs. All school-year options can accommodate up to 20 participants per session.

Option One:

We offer a 12-week course with one session held each week.
Option Two:

We offer a 6-week course with two sessions held each week.
Option Three:

We offer a 4-week course with three sessions held each week.
Option Four:

We offer a one day 5-hour intensive training course. * Price is based on amount of participants *
Option Five:

We offer a 6-week course with one 3-5 hour session held each week.
Option Six:

We offer a 6-week course with a 2-4 hour session held twice a week.
Option Seven:

We offer a 6-week course with a 3 hour session held 3-4 days each week.

Thanks for your interest in Braids By Her! We’re excited to welcome passionate and skilled individuals to our youth-centered braiding program. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, there’s a place for you to grow and make an impact. Please note: program hours and locations may vary.

Positions Available:

Braiding Instructor (Paid): Lead and mentor youth with your skills in natural hair and protective styles (2+ years experience preferred).
Class Assistant (Paid or Stipend): Support instruction while growing your own braiding skills in a hands-on, supportive setting.
Volunteer (Unpaid – Learn & Support): Help create a positive learning environment while gaining insight into braiding and youth mentorship.

Students are developing expertise in a specific area of the beauty industry by receiving hands on training while learning professionalism, ethics and how to conduct themselves in a professional environment.
